Combo Amp Extension Box V2
Have you ever wanted to run your combo amp through an external 2x12 or even a massive 4x12? Maybe you want to use the combo amp internal speaker for a different amplifier? The Combo Amp Extension Box v2 lets you exactly that! This box adds both a speaker output and external amp input to any combo amp that does not have one. The box installs between the amp and the speaker so there’s no modifying your amp and the box installs easily. No soldering reqired!
To install the Combo Amp Extension Box:
Remove the wires connected to the selected combo amp speaker terminals. Be sure to make note of positive and ground wires.
Attach the wires coming out of the amp to the “From Amp” spade connectors on the Combo Amp Extension Box. Be sure to connect positive to positive and ground to ground (typically positive is noted by the color red, where ground is noted by the color black).
Connect the “To combo Speaker” wires to the speaker terminals that you removed connections from in step 1 above.
Use the Velcro on the back of the box to fix the unit to an easy-to-reach position on the amp.
BE SURE TO MATCH THE IMPEDANCE of any connected speaker cabinets to the internal speaker load (ie, 4,8,16 ohms). Mismatching the load of an external speaker may result in damage to your amp.
If the spade connectors are loose, you can tighten them by using pliers
If you are using an external amp do not exceed the combo speaker’s wattage rating.
By purchasing the Combo Amp Extension box V2, you are agreeing to use the product as intended. Any damage to an amp caused by mismatching impedance loads is not a result of the Combo Amp Extension Box or its creator.
